Discovering social enterprise was what the team wanted to do, and applying for B Corp., and becoming the first certified company in Taiwan. 

The journey with DOMI began for us, when Corey, a good friend of our creative director David told him of his dream to start a company that would not be about profits, but about doing good for the environment, so that we can bring change to our world. David joined this cause, and became one of the co-founder of the company, and we started working on the brand. 
We suggested the brand be called DOMI, meaning “home” in Latin, to remind people that if we don’t take care of our collective home (our world), none of our homes (which most do take care of to keep in good shape) would exist. Corey and the team liked the name, also because it sounded simple and up-lifting.
Next was about figuring out what the company would be about, is it a business? or what is it? this is when David led the core team in a series of workshop to define what everyone on the core team wanted to accomplish through DOMI, and based on everyone’s input, crafted DOMI’s mission statement, which everyone signed. Soon afterwards while researching on the internet David found out about B Corp assessment, found its purpose similar to what the team was talking about, so David proposed to Corey and the two began working on the assessment together, as a result DOMI became the first B-Corp in Taiwan, allowing it to have a leading role in Taiwan’s B-Corp and social enterprise movement. 
好點子的創意總監潘為David因為受到朋友Corey的邀請,去參與設立一個新的公司,目的不只是為了獲利,更是為了帶來改變,效益環境。因此潘為也加入了這個公司的創立過程,成為DOMI其中一位創辦人。
在品牌的建立過程,我們建議了「DOMI」這個名字,因為在拉丁語DOMI是「家」的意思,原因是因為每個人都愛自己的「家」,不過要是我們沒有照顧好我們共同的「家」地球,我們自己的「家」都不可能存在。另外團隊也很喜歡這個名字聽起來像是音樂符號Do-Mi,有一種上升有希望的感覺。
有了名字需要找出公司的核心價值,這個時候潘為帶領了DOMI的核心領導團隊做了深度工作坊討論,接著透過大家所說的看法整理出DOMI的使命宣言。不久之後在網路找資料的時候,潘為發現美國「B型企業」認證,發現很符合DOMI所相信的價值,潘為跟DOMI的執行長Corey提出這個想法,兩人開始申請過程也順利通過,讓DOMI成為台灣第一家拿到「B型企業」認證的公司,因此獲得許多媒體的注意,也在台灣的「B型企業」與社會企業運動裡面扮演一個重要的角色。
